Stephen M. Yoss

President, Managing Partner

syosssrStephen M. Yoss, CPA and President, became a partner with the firm in 1975. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1974. Having practiced accounting for over 40 years, Steve has a broad range of expertise and qualifications. Steve takes pride in staying updated with current laws and trends affecting our clients and their specific industries. He is also a life member and past state president of the Society of California Accountants (SCA). He currently serves as an officer for the Pomona Valley Protective Association, and is a member of the OLA Parish Finance Council, Knights of Columbus, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and several other boards for local businesses and organizations.

For over 20 years, Steve has owned and operated the successful CPA Institute, which us a leading provider of continuing education for CPAs nationwide. In 2007, he merged the CPA tax seminars with Western CPE, a national provider of continuing education for professionals. He currently serves as moderator for Western CPE programs in the areas of individual, estate and trust, and taxation.

Steve has provided his services to a variety of individual, corporate, and high net worth clients. His areas of interests continue to be individual, estate and trust, elder care, and small business accounting; however, he has experience in a wide range of other areas and fields which affect our clients. jallenJohn W. Allen, CPA and Vice President, became a partner with the firm in 2005. With over 15 years of accounting experience, John has provided a wide variety of services to his clients. John is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPAs), and currently serves as the President and Board Member for the Foothill Chapter of the Society of California Accountants (SCA). He is also a member and Board of Director of the Claremont Rotary International Club, as well as a member of several other boards for local businesses and organizations. John's notable experience in the industry recently earned him a position as a board member of the Cal Poly Pomona Business Advisory Board for the Department of Accounting.

John works closely with his clients and devotes a majority of his time assisting them with financial and tax matters, implementing a hands-on approach. He is proficient in all aspects related to small businesses and can address the issues that matter the most. John's hands-on experience stems from being an entrepreneur himself. John began his first business venture, a trucking company, in 2001 and has participated actively in many start-up business ventures. He is currently working on a start-up technology company specializing in improving work flow productivity and profitability. John is licensed to issue and sign compilations, reviews, and audits.

Over the years, John has provided services to a variety of individual, corporate, and high net worth clients, and has a wide range of experience with the following industries: construction, manufacturing, distribution and transportation, restaurants, retail, technology, professional service (physicians, dentists, lawyers, insurance brokers), real estate, automotive repair and service, and non-profit organizations.
