acctg2Is a CPA license in your near future? Are you looking to gain valuable experience working under industry professionals in Southern California? Are you interested in pursuing a career in taxation?

If you are a bright and motivated junior or senior level college student looking to gain valuable experience in a public accounting setting during the upcoming tax season, then Yoss & Allen may be the perfect opportunity for you!

At Yoss & Allen, we are committed to helping students initiate their professional careers by providing an educational environment where students are able to learn a multitude of accounting related tasks, and build relationships with clients and fellow associates. Our program provides students with an intensive introduction to working in the public accounting environment, and allows them to gain valuable experience working under Certified Public Accountants.

Your role as an intern is that of a valuable and contributing member of a team. It is the relationships that are built, from which we learn upon, and will stay with you throughout your entire career. For a list of qualifications, please see below.

Qualifications

Education: Junior or senior level college student actively pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.

Recommended courses or equivalents:

      • ACCT 308 (Federal Taxation - University of La Verne)
      • ACCT 308 (Concepts of Federal Income Tax Accounting - Cal State Fullerton)
      • ACCT 374 (Introduction to Tax Issues - USC)
      • ACCT 415 (Tax Accounting - University of Redlands)
      • ACCT 426 (Introduction to Taxation - Cal State San Bernardino)
      • ACCT 431 (Introduction to Taxation - Cal Poly Pomona)
      • MGMT 127A (Tax Principles and Policy - UCLA)

Preferred skills:

      • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
      • Ability to work as a team player, while promoting a positive workplace
      • Above average written and verbal communication skills
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
      • Strong organizational skills
      • Successful problem-solving and analytical skills
